| Darren Adwalpalker, and his wife Amy, have a passion for building healthy Christian families and working in a team-based, cross cultural ministry. In 2001, Darren planted La Iglesia de Dios de Garden Grove, the Spanish ministry of the Garden Grove Church of God. The ministry was started with the vision to plant other Spanish-speaking ministries in partnership with the English-speaking churches. That vision has become a reality here at the South Bay Church of God. The Spanish ministry started at South Bay in 2004 with the goal of more effectively reaching the community for Christ. In April of 2006, Darren was voted to become the Senior Pastor of both the English and Spanish congregations here at South Bay. The church seeks to form a vibrant spirituality to live out the Great Commandment-love of God and neighbor-and dynamic multiculturalism to fulfill the Great Commission-to make disciples of all nations. In 2005, Darren and Amy were blessed with a beautiful baby boy, Josiah. |
