- What is the Church of God? -
 
The “Church of God” is taken from New Testament scripture. The Church of God is a movement of people desiring to know God’s truths and to make it known to others.
All Christians who have given their lives to Christ are part of the Church of God. The Church of God places strong emphasis upon the Bible, and uses the Bible’s examples as our guidelines for daily actions in the love of Christ. In a quest for scriptural truth, God moved the heart of Daniel Sidney Warner and others in 1880 to the calling of Christendom, holiness and oneness. Being moved by the Holy Spirit into an understanding of scriptural holiness, Warner saw this as the key to Christian unity. It was a unity beyond churches denominational doctrine. If we truly commit ourselves to God’s truth, we must pursue it all the days of our lives rather than yield to the temptation of tradition.

About God:
We believe there is one God who created all things and who exists in the three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
About the Bible:
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that it teaches the truth about Jesus as the source of our salvation and how to live a victorious life in Him.
About Jesus Christ:
We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life on earth; he was both God and man. As God in the flesh, He taught and performed mighty works, wonders and signs as chronicled in the four Gospels. We believe that He was crucified, dying to pay the penalty for our sins. On the third day God raised Him bodily, from the grave. Later He ascended to the Father's right hand where He is the head of the church and intercedes for believers. We believe that He is coming again, personally, to claim His Church, and to return to the Father's House where He has prepared our eternal home.
About the Holy Spirit:
We believe the Holy Spirit is at work both to fill the lives of believers with His presence and with the power to live a godly life, and to accomplish God’s will in the world.
About Eternal Life:
We believe that human sin is forgiven only through Jesus Christ and that believing in Him makes you a member of God’s family which does not end with death, but continues for eternity.
About the Church:
We believe that the Church consists of all that have trusted Jesus to forgive their sins and live a Spirit-filled, sin-free life in order to share God’s love with one another and the community.
About Prayer:
We believe prayer is the means of communicating with God, who hears and honors the prayers of His people. In prayer there is power for spiritual life and peace. There is strength and physical healing, for change and life transformation.
